IT Wonder Why 189 – How to change the search engine of Microsoft Edge
Keeping Bing as your default search engine offers an improved search experience in the new Microsoft Edge, with direct access to Windows programmes.
Pertinent suggestions from your organization if you’re logged in with a work or school account, and rapid answers to Windows-related inquiries.
The default search engine may be changed to any website that makes use of OpenSearch, though.
- First open Settings
- Click on Privacy, search, and services
- Next, scroll down to the Services section
- Click on the Address bar and search
- Change the search engine used in the address bar to the one you want
- And you’re done!
For example, we use Google Chrome
Use it because it allows you to check your web browsing history and can automatically generate strong passwords for your online accounts.
Even better, you can display webpages on your TV if you have a Chromecast.
Additionally, if a page is in another language, it will translate it immediately, unlike other browsers that require downloading.
